Session 2 :
👽 Today , our instructor showed us
some of the comments regarding classmates´expectations about the subject. Mine
was not there ,but I hope it is taken into account. The class was focused on a
presentation about key information of Task based Instruction . I took a look at
some of the elements that make learners competent ,and it is incredible how
many students see themselves as worthless . Everyone has a capacity which is
basically the point from which each student starts , and of course it has to be
motivated and updated in order to reach some of the desired competencies.
Furthermore , it is quite important to provide the learner a certain situation
in whhich he is able to perform any action to solve it.
👽
In addition , I learnt that having a
competency assures that I´m capable of doing or solving a task wherever is
needed , and that success is based in a 100% of being successful in performing
such a tassk. A video involving Jack Richards´comments was played . Jack
mentioned what exactly is Task base instruction , and he specified that it is
when you´re paying more attention to the outcomes or achievement indicators of
learning ,and to what the learners can actually perform after the learning
process. I was able to listen and share some of the opinions with my partner
later. The instructor presented a document which specified the group work , by
giving us one example of how to do it. As a group , we have to be very careful
since a topic should be selected in order to start establishing objectives that
will tell us what is the purpose of doing the research or project , The
description on the other hand establishes what is the problematic situation to
be researched. In my group work there has been good organization , I had to
prepare the justification of our research this one has information of our
purpose , the relevance , the benefits and to whom is going to be of help. We
had some time to finih some adjustments in our research at the end of the
session.
Here you have the video on Jack Richard´s
perspective:
