We took a look at

  THE EFFECTS OF PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT IN THE CLASSROOM IN BASIC ENGLISH STUDENTS 

Within this topic , I can tell that classroom environment does influence in students since this has to do with ilumination , temperature , desks arrangement . If these factors are not contemplated before getting students into an uncomfortable environment they might probably be affected in their concentration. I do believe that an innaproriate environment influences in our learning process when intercating in the classroom since sometimes we tend to feel sleepy when the classroom tempetature is too hot . The same happens where the room is too cold we start shaking to a point where we get hypothermia , and consequently we do not pay attention to what is going on  around us.

Now let`s take a look at the desks arrangement , I do think that the traditional row arrangement is not appropriate anymore since the whole attention is at the front of the class ( the board ) which influences in the behavior of those learners who sit at the back . Most of those students who sit at the back are always talking to each other , or doing something unrelated to the class topic, 

So ,  What would I suggest?

Basically , I suggest that the desks arrengement should be a face to face mode where the half of the class is facing the other . One of the advantages of it is that the teacher has the chance of moving freely in the middle which creates more interaction between teacher and learners. 

A second Topic seen in this session was ,

  LEARNING EFFECTS OF CLASS SIZE IN AN EFL SETTING 

In my opinion , there shoudn`t be more than 30 students in a classroom since it means more work from the teacher , and students do not learn effectively because there is more noise than in a class of 15 students. 

I`ve seen at a university setting where there is more than 100 students in one class ,and they must be arranged in a traditional way since there is not suficient space to locate desks in a different way. This creates boredom and apathy to the class . There is too much  noise which is unbearable , and most of the students sitting at the back are always doing something else that doesn`t have to deal with the class. 

As a conclusion , I can tell that there should be a reorganization of class size at least in a second language learning environment. It is easier to teach and learn a language when there are few students.
